You may have never heard of the town of Murano. It’s a little town north of Venice in Italy. However, what keeps it separate from other small cities and towns is that Murano is the glass capital of the world. The reason is because they have a product called Murano glass.

Before 1100, Murano was a large port like Venice, and they used to trade glass with Asian and African countries. The designs for the glass were influenced with the countries they traded with. Glassmakers used those ideas into their designs. One story was that glassmakers used to mold glass into bottles. They made those types of glass until the 1930’s.

In the 1930’s, a visionary named Ermanno Toso changed the direction of the Murano glass. Instead of making bottles and other household things, he changed it into designer furniture. They began to make glassware such as vases. Murano glassmakers used a lot of techniques in designing the product. One method was filigrana. It was used so they could shape the beads into figures such as tear drops and balls. The glass made during the 1950’s were the most sought after products.

Because of the popularity of the Murano Glass, counterfeiting began to take place in Asia during the 20th century. Asia began to copy glassware made in Murano by putting an image over the glass rod so it would become part of the blown bead. Before 1849, this practice was called mosaic.

To prevent counterfeiting, the glassmakers in Murano decided to issue a trademark which was very hard to copy. It was a lilac sticker which shows a glass blowers pipe . The trademark was registered with the European Union. The trademark was changed in 2003, so Murano Glass can become exclusive, and the quality then could not be replicated.

Later, a new form of design emerged from the Murano glass, and since then the Murano glass was used to create beautiful jewelry. The ability to mold the glass allowed for a large variety of shapes, colours, and sizes to be created. Jewelry made from Murano glass became more and more popular as time went on. Now thousands of jewelry stores acrtos the globe stock up on Murano jewelry due to it’s large demand. Beading stores also sell Murano glass beads to bead lovers who use these individual Murano glass beads to make their own custom made jewelry pieces.

For most bead lovers glass beads are one of the best beads to work with. They have a lot of features, which makes it is easier for people to work with them, and they also make your design look more attractive. Here are some reasons why:

Glass beads can be found in almost any color. Most of the time, if you go to a bead shop, there would be more glass bead colors to choose from than the paint chips at Home Depot. If you have ever been to Home Depot you would know that this is a lot of colors.

Also, glass can be made into any shape or size. Glass is a liquid, so it can be melted and then molded into any shape you want. You can change them into any cartoon characters or into any famous landmark in this world.

Furthermore, beads are used all over the world. So you won’t loom weird when you come wearing a beaded coat, necklace, earrings, bracelet or handbag in Japan, because beaded possessions are popular all over the world, and you are bound not to be the only one wearing beads no matter what city you are in.

Glass beads come in so many sizes. So you can bead anything, from a small pen to a huge overcoat. You can use beads to cover up almost anything, or to make any type of jewelry, big or small.

Also, if you send someone a beaded gift, that person will appreciate that gift a lot, because you spent hours working on it rather than going into some random gift shop for some last minute gifts. A gift from the heart is much more special than a gift that you just pick up for the sake of gift giving. Nothing says “I care” more than creating a gift by yourself, because it shows how much you care, and it allows you to express your creativity. Not only will the person you are giving the beaded gift love it, but you will most likely love creating this gift, because beading is really fun and because you will most likely care about the person you are creating the beaded gift for.

If you are located in Oakville and are interested in beading something special for someone special, come to Creative Jewelry Beads where you will find a large selection of glass beads, along with many other beautiful and unique beads including shell beads, wood beads, Swarovski crystals, semi precious beads, Cubic Zirconia beads, plastic beads, metal beads, bead findings and much more. Click Oakville Bead shops to read more, if you want to see some of our glass beads click glass beads Oakville, or for findings go to bead findings Oakville.

Turquoise stones are one of the most valuable stones in the earth. Their appearance is blue and green. Its value may have dropped down a bit during recent years, but the gem stone still makes anyone look fashionable. People put turquoise stones on their dresses, and they are also added in beaded objects such as necklaces and bracelets. There are so many sizes in which the stones come in: owlite, wave, oval and chalk. They are also used a lot in jewelry. People even insert the stone in their wedding rings. Turquoise can be bought wholesale if you want to make things and then sell them. If you would like to see a great collection of beautiful turquoise beads and live near Mississauga, you can visit their website by going to beads in Brampton. Even though Creative jewelry beads is in Mississauga, they serve the surrounding Greater Toronto areas, including Brampton, Oakville, Etobicoke, North York, Toronto and many others. Many beads at Creative Jewellre Bazar cannot be found anywhere else in Canada.

Turquoise was made when magma was rising through the layers of earth. The magma affected all minerals on Earth. Turquoise is created by a hydrothermal alteration, so when magma reached the surface of the earth, all minerals were affected. When the copper met with apatite, which has phosphorous, and feldspar, which contains aluminum, the stone turquoise was created. When these minerals touched each other turquoise was created. The more blue the stone is, the more copper it contains.

Turquoise was used a long time before the Egyptians. The Egyptians may be the first to mine this gem stone. During the Crusades, turquoise was mined in Iran. The Chinese used it on objects dated 3000 years old. It was also mined in the US, in the southwestern states of the US by the Indians, and in the Middle East. However, the French believed that the stone originated from Turkey, so they added “tur” to the gem’s name.

Turquoise is still affordable, so it can still make a great last second birthday or anniversary gift. If you want to start a project which involves a turquoise stone, then you can surf on the internet for some great tips. Also, to see them live before purchasing it is a good idea to go to your local bead shop. Monitors and cameras make colors and textures look different than they are in real life so it is always a great idea to spend some time at a local bead store where you can see all the beads. For a great selection of turquoise beads as well as tons of other bead types go to Creative Jewelry Bazar. This bead store is located in Mississauga Ontario.

The earliest beads in the world were made in the Stone Age, from the Upper Paleolithic period. Most beads these days are made up of glass, but these beads were made up of shells and ivory.

The Egyptians used a type of bead called the faience bead. These beads were made up of quartz particles fused together. The quartz was then glazed, and then strung or woven into clothing and jewelry. Egyptian beads were found in the pharaoh’s tombs. A sandal made up of beads was found near King Tut’s tomb. Beads are disintegrated during time, so it was very unusual when people found that the beaded jewelry was still intact.

Beads were widely used in Asia. In India, religious texts show that beads were used to be put in horses’ tails and in children’s hairs. The beads in India were dated back to 9th century BC. Beads were also found in Japan, which were dated to 800 Ad. Beads in Asia used to be made of shells, stones and ivory.

Different stones were used to make beads. The beads which were made up of precious stone were supposed to bring you luck. For example, Lapis Lazuli was believed to bring good health to the wearer. Other precious stones included jasper, turquoise, and feldspar. We still use them today.

Glass beads were made around 1480, when Venice began to transform glass tubes to beads. When this method was discovered, it was then possible to make thousands of beads of any sizes and color. We still use all of these methods listed above.

Today, you can find beads from all over the world inside bead stores across the globe. Due to globalization and the ease of travel and transportation bead business owners are able to find beautiful beads from across the globe and have them shipped to one location. Creative Jewelry beads is a beads shop located in Mississauga which has found beautiful beads from across the glob and has made them available in their retail store.

The history of Swarovski goes back to its founding fathers, the famous, Daniel Swarovski. An Australian based company, it was established in 1895.The company is well –known for its exclusive designing as well as manufacturing of crystal beads and rhinestone products. Now a world-wide reputed brand, it specializes in precision –led crystal glass. It also carries a fine range of growing crystal items such as home chandeliers, amazing crystal sculptures, eye-catching exquisite pieces of jewellery, miniature and couture. It is interesting to note that Swarovski products are made with high lead content glass that renders it the inner diamond like sparkle. This is a remarkable feature that has placed it on the top of the winning bar. Two major factors have contributed to this excellence. Firstly, the Swarovski craftsmen employ technologically advanced equipment to give these crystals the unique look and glimmer that highlights the reflective characteristic of the crystals. They posses the exact expertise, build over years of expertise and commitment to create the very best only. Secondly, sophisticated computer assisted technology lends the Swarovski beads, as most-desirable in the consumer market. Another element that gives the Swarovski its uniqueness is the specific color these crystal beads posses. This clearly differentiates and distinguishes, Swarovski from its competitors.

Beads can be used for many different things. Some of these include: decorating a piece of clothing or furniture, to make jewelry such as necklaces and bracelets. These items are made by stringing and threading several beads together. A lot of people think that beads can be only used for jewelry, but they are wrong. There is a large variety of uses of beads as mentioned above.

Beads can be used to make any item decorative. Because beads come in all sizes, colours and shapes, there is no way that beading can be restricted strictly to creating jewelry. Beads can even be molded into cartoon and television characters. Beads are also made form many materials such as shells, glass, wood, crystals, semi-precious stones, rocks, plastic and even bones. Some beads, such as the rosary bead, are more increasingly being used for spiritual reasons. Beads are used to make household items such as mats and cushion covers. They are also used to decorate shoes, handbags, and coats. Beaded objects are greatly gaining momentum in the market, and becoming a more popular hobby than ever. Beads are being sold online as well as in offline bead stores and bead shops. You won’t look weird if you are wearing a beaded object in any other country because beading is gaining an international rise as well. Beads allow beaders the ability to design the type of jewelry that suits their styles and tastes and therefore more and more people are expressing themselves through beading and beads.

You can add great value to your item by adding an expensive gem to it, such as a turquoise bead, a pendant, or any other bead made up of a valuable stone. There are many valuable beads that are being sold on the Internet, but if you would like to touch, feel and see the beads live in person nothing is better than visiting a bead store or shop in your area. The number of bead shops is increasing and we are sure you can find a great bead store near you.

If you live in the GTA Creative J Beads is a great bead store you should visit as they carry a great variety of unique beads. If you live in Etobicoke click Bead Stores Etobicoke or beads Etobicoke . Creative J Beads is located in Mississauga but we serve all of the GTA as most of our beads cannot be found anywhere else.

Even a guy who does the best beadwork, may feel the stress when he has to come up with a last minute design for a necklace, bracelet, earrings, etc. It’s like when you are trying to get the last second three pointer in a basketball game, or getting the last second touchdown. Frustrating!!! If you work with a company that has a high level of performance requirements, you will feel even more pressure and stress. That would be like getting a three pointer on a game which decides who will go to the finals. However, we have provided three steps which should help you make your last second bead design less stressful and more enjoyable.

Try to do what you do the best. If you are great in making bracelets, don’t try to make a very expensive looking earring or a necklace embedded with customized beads. If you do what you do best, you will be much more relaxed because you might have done this about a hundred times. If you have much more time, then try to use your creativity and do a necklace or an earring.

Use colors that are popular. Don’t build additional stress by choosing which colour you will put on. Check on the Internet to find out which colors are popular these days, and put those colors on what you are working on. Again, use your creativity when you have a lot more time.

And finally, make a rough copy by stitching some beads to see how your design will look. Don’t just start on the assignment without laying out the groundwork, because chances are that your final piece would look like a disaster.

There are other tips too on how to handle last second assignments, such as choosing only between a necklace, earring and a bracelet, because if you choose to work on a bracelet and it turns out to be something else, then at least you have reached somewhere. However, these three tips should help you with reducing stress no matter how stressful the beading job may be.

As some of you may imagine, there is an increasing use of glass beads in the designing of fashion jewerly nowadays. As the name suggests, glass beads are made of glass and their use in designing decorative fashion jewerly is well-known and very popular. Interestingly, glass beads come in many kinds and colors and range from different shapes to sizes. In recent times, they have not only added creativity and innovation to the ornament industry world-wide but are also in high demand due to their astonishing fabrication of flora and fauna. These include, but are not limited to shapes such as frogs and butterflies. Such types are best for decorative purposes and use beads that are hand-made, Venetian as well as of furnace glass. Similarly, artisans stretch their imagination and skill using glass beads to design jewerly items as necklaces and delicate bracelets with beautifully crafted variety of flowers such as ivy, lily, acorns and many others. Moreover, the heart shaped-bead is the must-have for the Valentine Day and considered as the most desirable. It comes in all time favourite red color as well as in other sorts. The glass used to design different shapes is the furnace, frosted, fused and blown glass. However, another type of all purpose glass is the round beads. These are used to create different styles of jewerly, either in combination or as a compliment to other types of beads and designer items. The exquisite butterfly beads have an elegance of their own, when used in designer jewerly they expose the intricate patterns and designs that are breath-taking. Most often, the Venetian, czezk, Indian and Chinese glass is used in their making. The world of glass beads is unlimited and the beauty of their patterns cannot be warranted within the scope of this space. There are many bead stores around the glob which offer a variety of glass beads, if you live in the GTA and if you want to see a large selection of glass beads both colours and sizes, come to Creative Jewelry Beads and see for yourself.

Beading can be hard on the eyes due to the amount of focus required to threading those small bead holes. I wanted to find out ways to make beading more enjoyable on the eyes so I have been thinking how and here is what I came up with:

Purchase a Magnifying Glass: If you find yourself squinting your eyes to hot the bead holes its either time to purchase a pair of glasses, and if you already own a pair but are still having problems hitting those holes with the thread then it’s time to purchase a magnifying glass. You can buy a magnifying glass that can easily attach to your glasses or one that comes with a rubber string allowing you to place it on your head so your hands are free to bead. With a magnifying glass, you will decrease the strain on your eyes due to a decrease in squinting and you will be able to get the job done faster as you will be hitting those bead holes much quicker than otherwise.

Purchase safety Glasses: Since a lot of time you are working with very small beads that you use pliers to hold steady, there is room for error and a small bead can pop out and hit you right in the open eye which can be very dangerous. Protect yourself with a pair of safety glasses, which can be purchased at a low cost, and can protect you from any hazard that is prevalent when beading.

Change your focus distance: Beading requires us to focus our eyes about 20 centimeters away from us which strains the eyes, so what you should do is change the distance of your focus often. This is like getting exercise but for your eyes. Step outside, look out the window, or look up at the ceiling just to adjust your eyes so that they are not focused on only one distance for hours at a time.

Bead in a extra lighted room: Don’t strain your eyes by beading in a poorly lighted room, this is bad for your vision and can be permanently damaging. By setting up your beading space in a well lighted environment you will be able to see those small bead holes much clearer and your eyes wont have to work so hard.

Don’t bead for too long: Try not to become a bead-aholic, bead for couple hours at most and then take a rest and find something else to do for roughly 30 minutes, this will give you time to rest your eyes and to stretch a bit as beading can be hard on your back. This will also enhance your beading experience by giving you variety and making it more fun.

Sometimes it may be a good idea to even go to a bead store in your area and try to bead there, as many bead stores do provide beading classes. This is a great chance to learn new trick, as well as to see their beading environment and their tools which can help you imitate them to improve your beading at home.

A great place to learn how to bead is Creative Jewelry Beads which is located in Mississauga.
